Anyone try it? What are thoughts on it? Any tips?

Thanks

Interesting idea. If youre gonna hunt all metal and dig everything anyway.
I think you'd lose a tad of coverage as your DD coil in pinpoint would only detect a stripe vs the entire area beneath the coil.

If I lived on the beach, I'd give it a try. What the heck?

Sovereign similar to excal......BBS................. Many benefits hunting in PP mode...just a few
discriminate is a more control ed field, PP/AM is a disbursed field reaching out further allowing one to hear disruptions which are deeper targets. In pp you can get alot of info from the signal, depth, size, shape..very much like a PI, and the ability to run the machine hotter without falsing...If you have a sovereign I would recommend adding a remote discrimination button. Hunting and know all the targets under or near the coil is a great advantage no matter what they are, then being able to push the button and discr one can separate targets once cover by nulls of disc............................... Also CJC book on the sovereign,

Just finished a remote PP/DISC button on excal for a friend...toggles are the tuffest to work into the handle, buttons easy

On a saltwater beach I almost always hunt al All-metal pinpoint mode. The response and the quiet of the machine is incredible.

some time ago. My Sovereign is mounted on a Whites shaft and has a trigger switch mounted underneath the SunRay meter. External switching is accomplished by the addition of a jack in the back of the detector.
