Nice finds.

i just know i've seen the name (G.R.&.S.M. GASS) on another token from a different town in tennessee. it's going to drive me crazy unless i think of it. at least for a little while.

mike w.

well, that didn't take long. i looked in a token book.
it was craft springs, tn and greeneville, tn

just thought it was interesting

Hello, intime you have seen the same name G.R.&S.M. GASS on a token be for i would like to see it

i found this in greene county tn ( greeneville tn ) ard you next to greeneville?

thanks bob t.

i have never added a picture so bare with me.
yes, i seen the craft springs token, what surprised is seeing your cross anchor token. then i looked in the tn. trade token book and found there also is one with greeneville (with 4 E's). the craft springs token is odd shape very rounded and squatty like an hour glass. (see very very crude drawing .

anyway i think you have a spectacular token. and it just amazed me the same name was on diff. tokens. i have seen personnally the craft springs token more than once. thanks for the picture of the cross anchor piece. heck, i never even heard of the town.
