Detecting should be fun

Managed a quick hour hunt out in the country today with my newly acquired (used) Silver Umax.
Got a couple round things, one was an 03 V Nickle
Tesoro is bringing the Fun back into detecting for me, and isn't that how it's suppose to be.

I am with you 100%! I got rid of my DFX, because I was tired, wondering if I was using the right programs. I got the Tejon and remembered what detecting was about. Just having fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone ID'd the thing next to the nickle as a Ladies Hem weight.

You're right on. In the end it's supposed to be fun and that's why I prefer the less complicated machines. For those that find it fun to tweak and work through various menus, more power to them, but it's not my cup of detecting tea.

Couldn't agree with you more. I own a Compadre and just bought another Silver uMax to replace the one I foolishly sold.

Hoping I can go detecting sometime this weekend!

Its easy loose sight of the fun factor when you're focusing a specific type of target (CW relics for instance) and you're not finding anything. Today I found a virgin volleyball court loaded with coins and brought the fun factor back (even it was just a bunch of clad).

I never turn back a coin because it's clad, lol.
