Been doing a lot of evening and night hunts because it's so hot. The light switch is connected to the machine power switch so it only works when the machine is on. I tried several different configurations of the LED's. From reflecting mirrors, one LED, 2 LED's, acrylic light bars.... you name it. Non worked better that this configuration. You will need to buy 3mm/.125 diameter LED's, sub mini switch and toggle seal (not shown in the picture) . So under $15 worth of parts and about 2 hours. You need either green, blue or red LED's for night use. Don't use white or it will mess with your eyes. Also I already posted some time back that I cranked my internal threshold up so there is a slight hum. I was going to panel mount the threshold pot for adjustment but the threshold holds very steady without it. So there you have it - an M6 with threshold and lighted display hence the M6pro model. If I was smart enough to add ground grab I would.

I must of posted on another forum. Remove the 4 screws on the sides. Also remove the 4 screws on top next to the rod adapter. Then the top will come off. You will see a trimmer on board named R20 and/or threshold. It's the only adjustable trimmer you will find. All this is done with the battery installed. Next set the coil away from anything metallic. Then put the gain about 50%. Then take a small strait blade screwdriver and turn the trimmer clockwise until the threshold is barely heard. Then close it back up. I haven't had my threshold drift on me at all. But I do have the correct potentiometer to panel mount it if it does. I might just panel mount it anyway? If so I'll take pictures and post it.

nice mod khouse. I own M6 and am thinking about adding an adjustable thresh.
what's the resistance for a panel mounted thresh pot?

is there any info on adding manual ground balance? that would be nice.

maybe some other mods are available?
cheers.
