Detecting Micro Nuggets with the Gold Bug 2

Hi,

Got a new story with photos up at http://www.akmining.com/mine/jour162.htm Check it out. It shows what an amazing detector the Gold Bug 2 is.

I 'M ONLY GETTING 10 HOURS OF BATTERY USE BEFORE I START LOSING DEPTH BAD.
WHAT KIND OF BATTERY LIFE TO EXPECT?

Hi,

Do you use headphones? Using headphones extends battery life considerably. With good quality alkaline 9V batteries I get 20-30 hours with headphones. Cheap carbon batteries will last half as long.

Steve,

Just returned from a lengthy prospecting trip, saw this thread and thought to say howdy. I thoroughly enjoy reading your articles, and this one just gets me bitin' at the bit to go. You always make it look so easy, and I imagine for you its pretty straightforward stuff.

What brought me to this particular forum was to locate anything on the new Gold Bug...just "can't resist" curiosity.
One day I expect you'll see me walking into your establishment. I think an afternoon with you at Crow Creek would be the best of all experiences. Later,

Jim.
