Detecting .... Metal Detecting Machine

What would you do....................

If you had a machine that works perfect in your area ............... But you prefer a different detector for comfort..and you just like the way it feels.

It's not as deep..it misses finds your other machine finds..Yet you still like it better.

Which machine would you use ??

Perfect working ??

Perfect feeling ??

For me it is all about finding stuff. I will that the perfect working.

Perfect working: ETRAC have to go slow and it's heavy.

Perfect feeling: Xterra 70 cover more ground and lighter. Still good depth.

I would use them both. Use the perfect feeling one on a spot for a while and then use the perfect working one for cleaning up the spot. HH jim tn

Good one Jim.. But which would you use..better performance or better feel most of the time ??

But.which would you opt to use more often

Well Elton, I to like finding the goodies also, the vote goes to the one that brings in the bread N butter, saying that... I'm hungry! Hank:rofl:

Sorry, I like them both to much. Unless, of course, there is a big difference.......naw, there is nothing that performs that much better. HH jim tn

My vote: "perfect working"

Elton: At 70 I think I am with oak, have no health or mobility problems, however after retiring I find that I am using the lighter weight detectors more often, depending on what I am hunting for. Enjoying using detectors that I have used very little that I have collected over the last 35 yrs., I now have time to learn them, some have been very surprising. I have 32 to choose from, hope to live long enough to learn them all HH Steve

Assuming that any of the options will do a reasonable job of detecting I opt for the one that's more fun. In my case that's the lighter one(s). Depth isn't everything all the time.

Comfort. I have 3 detectors, all light weight and get me 1700's and 1800's coins. Not quite as deep as MineLab maybe, but I can swing any of these 3 all day with ease and still find 8" dimes.
