DETECTING IN THE RAINE

looks like i have found a spot that the former inhabitants used to split wood,as i am finding shards off the old splitting wedge, -- maybe he got his thumb between the hammer and wedge and in great paine shook his hand, and the ring went flying , or maybe theyjust sat down aganst a tree for lunch and the coins sifted out of thear pockets, anyway I was not as well covered up and had to leave but the detector was fine

Or maybe his finger is still there with the ring on it...haha. Now that would be a cool find!

Thanks for the video, I have many hobbies that occupy my time, but few hobbies that are doable in the rain. I know where my freezer bags are, but its the motivation I have trouble finding.

Gunnar I enjoyed watching your video. Thanks for sharing. You have such great scenery to video. It's about time for you to unearth a gold stash.

I love being out in the rain as I find it extremely peaceful. Good thought on digging some iron Gunnar. Many moons ago, I was hunting a friends backyard (house was built in the late 1800's) and detected a huge piece of iron. Due to its large size, (I had the coil about 2 feet off the ground and I was still detecting it) we decided to dig. Approx 4-5 inches down we see this large flat piece of iron. We locate the edges and pulled up on it and boy the whole family was shocked what lie beneath.....

Stacked like cord wood were rows and rows and rows of old medicine bottles. All in beautiful condition. We just don't know unless we dig.

Jim cool storie thats a bottle digger dreem do you remember what the bottles said on them ?

I can't remember names but do remember them being all medicinal bottles. Most were clear glass but there were several dark blue ones. Some were very small in size like "trial size" around 4 inches or so. My friends mother came out and immediately started placing them into containers and bringing them into the house. She then told me I was free to go home. (in other words - beat it) She didn't even offer me one bottle to take home and I was never invited over to their house again.
