If you're going to be right in town Boston, the Common is definitely off limits, in fact, MDing on the commons of almost every city, town or village will get you a visit from the local constabulary. Parks and playgrounds are open but be careful where in town you're going and don't go after dark. If you're going to MD on the beach, head north or south of Boston as the beaches are safer: you won't catch hepatitis or a 9mm.
 
Me and guy named Chris from Oregon, will be in your area from Nov 9 thru Nov 14, if your interested in doing some detecting together let me know. We both love to detect. Chris was out east a few weeks ago and had a great time.
