Detecting in Bermuda

New member
:canadaflag:Hello All: I have moved to Bermuda from Canada and wanted to know if anyone has had experience detecting in Bermuda. I've an Ace 250 but think I'll have to upgrade to a better unit to deal with the salt. Hope to have some pics to post soon.:detecting:

bda,

Just noticed your post, I made a couple post on your other thread and didn't realize what detector you had....The 250 should be fine for the dry sand and inland.. This would be my first choice..

Some Makes and models you may want to look at are, the Minelab Excaliber 800 or 1000 (only difference is coil size, 8" or 10")..

Also, look at the Fisher CZ-20 or even the Fisher Aquaview 1780.. I know someone who had the Aguaview and really liked it...Not to expensive either if you buy a good used one....Always some on ebay.

If you are finding the beaches to be somewhat clean, you may want to go with a PI unit, many out there...These are all metal and you have to dig every signal.....Not good if alot of iron or junk around.

Good Luck.......Read thru the forums and you'll answer alot of your own questions
