:detecting: Here is what I found to be the best, cheapest and easiest detector stand for the ATpro, Ace 150,250 and 350. :detecting:

By the time I got my custom stands wide enough to keep the machine from falling over they were simply too big. Yes, we can add an inch or two and make it more stable but they still will fall over. So here is my solution and it works every time. Once I paint it black it will look even better.
All parts are at every local hardware store for $2
Simply use the upper most open hole in the shaft. No drilling and no tools needed. Works for lefties too.

Garrett KICK STAND
1/4 x 6 inch carriage bolt
1/4 inch nylon or metal nut
1/4 inch nylon or metal wing nut
Installs and comes off in 5 seconds.
I used nylon nuts to save a tiny bit of weight

Clever idea Kenny. As it turns out I dont even have to make a trip to the hardware store. I have all the materials.

Thanks for posting it.

Nice idea! :clapping:

With a pad, maybe a short piece of plastic "angle iron", locked into place between the bolt head and a nut on the contact end it could even be used on a sandy beach!

Hi Kenny

Nice idea, I was thinking of fitting a small spring loaded bicycle prop stand, you could flip it out to use as a stand then fip it back when not in use.

You have my permission to manufacture a few of these LOL.

Thank you for sharing your stand idea with us. You can add the 2500 to the list of detectors that will work. I made mine in a few minutes from plastic parts that I had available. Thanks again.

Dude - All your stand needs is some paint and it's good to go! Whatever works is what I say - and I just said it.

That would be cool. I'll let others improve on it. I've been working on a lot of real nice aluminum stands that worked OK most of the time. But this little bolt kicked my other stands butt.

There you go! You guys could use all thread instead of the bolt and make any kind of foot you want welded or glued to a 1/4 nut for a quick change out for what surface your hunting. Lets see what you come up with....

You all that make videos now have a good foundation for making a camera mount that attaches to the bolt.

You did Great Kenny , Give em hell. Another good idea is the all thread . Its showtime get out your black spray paint.. I spray painted my clothes pins black, but I aint with that SH_T:rofl:
