By the time I got my custom stands wide enough to keep the machine from falling over they were simply too big. Yes, we can add an inch or two and make it more stable but they still will fall over. So here is my solution and it works every time. Once I paint it black it will look even better.
All parts are at every local hardware store for $2
Simply use the upper most open hole in the shaft. No drilling and no tools needed. Works for lefties too.

Garrett KICK STAND
1/4 x 6 inch carriage bolt
1/4 inch nylon or metal nut
1/4 inch nylon or metal wing nut
Installs and comes off in 5 seconds.
I used nylon nuts to save a tiny bit of weight
