Hey everybody. It has been a while since I last posted anything here. The last couple of years has been busy for me. I got married a year ago and I just moved from Alabama to Pensacola, FL, so needless to say I haven't been doing any detecting. But now that I'm settled down a bit I decided to take my detector to the beach and you can imagine my surprise and happiness when I found this diamond engagement ring! I couldn't believe it! I took the ring to a jewelry store in downtown Pensacola and they were nice enough to clean it for me and give me some information about it. The ring is 14k white gold with a 1/2ct center diamond and 4 smaller diamonds on both sides of the center diamond. The company that made the ring is called ECI, INC Fine Jewelry. They told me that they get a lot of people that bring in jewelry that is found on the beach, but that 90% of the time it is fake. The said I found a real treasure. They valued the ring at around $2,600.00 brand new and around 1,600.00 used/worn. This was definitely a great start at getting back into the metal detecting world.
