Like I said, my collection of Romans & hammered silver coins is limited.....remember I hunted in Cold-chester :devil:
But here's a few items to give an idea on number readings.....
Probably looks pretty much all over the map, but you guys have so many different coins throughout your history you pretty much have to dig everything above iron or risk missing gold coins......

Big Roman Grots= 65-74
Small Romans= 32-48
Hammered 6 pence= 46-47
hammered silver penny= 25
Cut in half, half groat= 34

Hi Bill ,thanks for your post, yes we have so many different combinations, from pewter to gold ,one has to take into account .even iron based coins etc .
