Went out today with a friend on a very old property. He had the Garrett pin pointer that prompted me to get the Kuman pin pointer, which looks identical to the Garrett. I have the Sun Ray pin pointer on my Explorer, which should have served me well, but it is sometimes awkward. The Sun Ray works great, but I am not always sure of my settings. My fault, no doubt on settings. Guess I need to re-learn my detector.

I have the SunRay On My EX ll. But the other day it wasn't working well. But my Nimh battery was acting kinda whacko. I need to replace the battery, and was wondering if the rebuild insert pack into the original holder was worth the investment. I am using recharge Nimh batts in the backup reload pack, but you have to take them out to recharge each time. Hate to bite the bullet for a new Nimh pack.
