Any Info on Clubs ,Groups or Anyone in Adelaide,South Australia involved with detecting activities.
Thanks Johnno

G'day John.
There are 7 clubs in South Oz. 4 or 5 in Adelaide. They are listed in the back of the Gem and Treasure Year book 2007(which came out in Jan or Feb). Unfortunately they are only postal addresses. If you like, I can send them to you via private message.
However, If you would like a more direct contact, then your best bet would be to contact Phil at the Gold Mining Centre in Adelaide, as I have found him to be very helpful in the past, or contact The Miners Den, Adelaide, as they should be able to put you onto a club as well. One other choice would be to contact Minelab, as They also may have some contact info as well.
Mick Evans.
P.S. How come you get to have 2 detecting shops in Adelaide, plus the Minelab Factory, with a population of around a 1000000, and Sydney, with a population of 4000000, only has one shop. Go figure.:nerd:

Nice pic on the back of the recent GG&T mate. So im guessing the ACE works ok then!:clapping:

Yeah. Sure does. About the only thing that I don't like on it, is the bell tone. it gets a little bit hard on the ears at times, but I love the way it pinpoints.
Picked up over $60 with it on Saturday, but after reading your article in the afore mentioned Gem and Treasure; all those small pieces of gold that you pick up, make what I find in coins look a bit silly.:poke:
Thanks for writing the article.
Mick Evans.

Nothing silly at all with all those finds Mick.
I detected for coins and things on the beach areas when I was in Yeppoon and I have to admit that your finds in that pic are as good as anyone elses, if not better. You obviously understand the Ace,s lingo. Job well done mate.

Thanks BT.
There is $450 in the main picture and an 18 carrot gold ring just below the pistol on the far right. I had picked up just over $500 in that first three and a half months. Slowed down now though.
I'll be heading up to the Gold Coast next School holidays. Hopefully I'll have the round DD coil for the X-Terra by then and be able to have a good beach hunt. I haven't had much of a chance to do that; they sound like fun. You're a lucky fellow to be able to get to a beach when you wanted. You are fortunate to have a wife that likes to go out with you from time to time, when gold hunting.
Cheers.
Mick Evans.
