Detecting Buddy Harness who's using one?

Anyone using one? Give us your opinion on it!! I ordered one yesterday!! Once I get it I will add my two cents to this post. It looks like it will get the job done. I ordered a extra bungee so I could have my top two detectors ready to attach it to and start swinging.

Well, I got one,but don't know if "using it" is the right term? While initially happy with it, I've come to find after a half dozen hours of swinging that because I have to adjust strap all the way to balance my detector, it is too short to reach ground when retrieving a target. I also find that it is impossible for me to just let the harness slip off my opposite shoulder. I will need to find/rig some sort of quick disconnect to bring some of the happy back.

I've been using a Swing Thingy for about a year, absolutely love it! You have to take the time to get it adjusted just right and just like the directions. I have a thoroughly messed up shoulder and without it can swing about an hour. With it I can swing all day. When I let get the detector swings across my body, I kneel on one knee and recover. Back up, grab and go!

Well I received it and attached it to my detector adjusted it to the right length and man it's sweet!! Took it out for a hour or so in my yard and it really takes all the weight of your detector off your arm. As far as digging the targets you just sit the detector down by you and dig or you can take the sling off your shoulder your swinging with to give it a little more slack! It's very simple to use and you don't have to unhook and hook back to retrieve targets and you don't have to adjust the bungee constantly!! I recommend it and at 20 bucks you definitely get your money's worth. Give old Don Dodson a call at North Georgia Relics and get one and help support a Findmall sponsor!

That "new style" product you refer to - that's $57 all in. And you need to be a NASCAR driver to hook that thing up...plus without a belt - you have a problem attaching it.

My opinion is that the Detecting Buddy at $20 delivers the perfect harness experience along with the simplest and easiest way to put it on - compared to ANY harness ever developed...I completely agree with 88junior.

junior-----If you like that one, you would LOVE Docs (new style) "swingy thing".

I just ordered one. If this thing works as advertized, I'll be ordering me a Tesoro Clean Sweep coil as well.

I'll let you know how it works out.
