(Detecting at the snow sliding hill) A short story

After my long ride whith the heater maxed out i finally arrived at the snow sliding hill. Its cold this time of year in minnesota. Getting out of the car the brisk cool air was like a slap in the face waking me into sobriety. I grabbed my metal detector and turned it on . the hill was well used and very slick shurly some coin had been lost or perhaps a ring as the sliders slid down the hill going over the bumps & jumps getting tosed off thear sleds. As i moved closer to the steep hill i noted a sighn (SLIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK ) continuing to swing my coil back and forth i got my 1st beep.chipping into the ice cold snow i found a zinc penny . as i gotback up i suddenly slipped and as i fell the zinc penny i worked so hard to free from its ice tomb fell from my frozen hand , I began to slid down the hill faster and faster my metal detector racing behind me as if in a race i seemed to slide and slide as if on an endliss hill .as i was going down the scenery would change from winter to summer and it did this many times. sudenly i came to a stop. at the bottom of the hill WHEAR AM I ? i was thinking all around me whear piles of coins gold silver and cladd piles of jewelry all kinds of rings and in another pile was a huge pile of cashes thatpeople had stored away for themselves and whear not rich to God then i seen dumsters full of pulltabs foil nails andvarouse trash items of no value theis whear halled away do the dump just then a mysterious figure approched me from accrose the park,,asthe being got closer i sensed a warmth and kindness and could see an accepting smile on the face of this strange visitor .DO YOU SEE ALL THEIS THINGS said the visitor--- yes i said .THEIS ARE THE TREASURES YOU WILL FIND. FROM SUMMER TO WINTER YEAR BY YEAR SOME YOU WILL KEEP SOME YOU WILL THROW AWAY , SOME YOU MUST RETURN . Just then somthing came slidding down the hill it was a tesro silver umax then something else it was a water detector then one more thing came slidding down it was a x- terra 70 then the messinger said WHITH THEIS YOU WILL FIND THIS TREASURE GO NOW BE HONEST JUST AND KIND AND WHEN YOU FIND THIES GREAT FINDS FINDS OF COINS FINDS OF JEWELRY AND MANY CASHES HIDDEN AWAY REMEMBER THE POOR whith that the scine dissapeared as i felt the cold slap of a hand on my face wake up wake up common wake up you fell and slid down the hill are you O.K I said yes im o.k i grabbed my detector and went back to my car just then someone walked up to me and said DO NOT DISPIZE THE DAY OF SMALL FINDS YOU WILL FIND MUCH MOOR THAN THIS and he handed me the zinc penny ------------- the end Gunnar Rasmussen

May be where you ended up is where the coins and jewelry ended up. :stretcher:

Did your MD survive OK ?

It was 32 degrees this morning, I think I'll close the foundation vents encase there is a hard freeze.

Stay Warm,

Sounds like on he...of a time to me. HAHHAAHa Are you going back ???
maybe you could attach your detector to a sled and ride down each area and detect on the way down HAAAa Boy I can just see that. LOL

Gunnar, I enjoyed your story.

Your grandmother might have put a piece of yarn on your mitts.
Could work for the Silver.
