Headed out early this morning, to see if a different lake has thawed out. And go figure, it was. :) Kind of scary on the way, as the fields still had some snow on them.........
 
I wish I lived close to a big body of water. Seems like whether there are Gobies swarming your detector or not you and others seem to have fun water hunting. Nothing close by for me to give water hunting a "go". I will correct myself, there is one little old swimming hole about 15 miles away but do not feel comfortable going it alone. I get the sense that there is a false bottom to this little pond / swimming hole. Looks 4 + feet deep in the swimmming part but the bottom looks like it has built up years and years of debris. Where one step into the four foot section will drop me another three and stuck in the muck. I would need a backup detector buddy to pull my carcase from the water. :rofl:
 
I don't think that I've ever seen a ship Toonie before, cool.
