Will the Explorer XS coil be o.k. to use submerged in streams as long as the water does not travel up the shaft into the box?
 
I'd partially fill the shaft with epoxy just to be safe. I'm sure you know that you are taking a big risk if you drop it in the water, or if you fall in the water with it. I use the stock coil with my Under Water (waterproof) Explorer with no problem. Bob
