I have a 6x8 Butterfly coil,it is one of the best I have used on my MXT. It will hit just as deep as the 9.5" coil that comes on a MXT new. I also have the 4x7" pro coil, and it will cut through iron like butter. I have just about all the coils that is made for the MXT, and these are my go to coil. I got my MXT when they first came out in about 2000, I think, and when Whites said they were not being made anymore I got a Demo. MXT just to keep for backup just in case. I know the MXT 300 and Pro are the same but I don,t want to take the chance. I think I will try a MX7, and see if it is as good.
