Nice, I found one earlier this year in Arkansas. It's a Great Coat Button, ca 1815-1830.

Very nice finds. It would be interesting to research US military history to see if there were any incursions or outposts in Sonora in the 1800s, especially during some of the more turbulent times in Sonora's (or Mexico's) history. Alternatively, given Sonora's close proximity to the US, it may be some US soldiers who wanted to make a go of things in Mexico and settled there for awhile. No matter how you look at it, your finds are very interesting and lead to lots of questions. Good luck and happy hunting.
