depth?

What size coil - DD or concentric,, mineralization amount and/or type, composition of target, target size, metal detector settings? These are but a few. There are many more contributing factors. Some people suggest that the higher frequencies will get better depth on a tiny target. There is a certain amount of truth to that, however, electronic circuits and coil design can change those dynamics.

I have attache an image.

The trowel with the green handle and the black blade is the "Garrett". It came with the ATP. I am sure most of you with an ATP got one in your box along with the pouch and probe. This is a wonder trowel, and it will not scratch any of the coins as you are digging. There is one problem with this very nice gift, targets.

6 out of 7 coins I have found and most of the other object I have dug are more than eight inches in the soil. Most of the discovers, I thought were coins have been eight inches to twelve inches deep.

The trowel with the red handle and the silver blade is what I had to move to for recovering targets. Without it, recovering targets would be challenging. I was concerned that my choice of detector would exclude me from the deep targets ... old coins .... Now I am digging as deep or deeper than anyone I know and I am getting great information from the detector about the targets.

[size=large]my very limited info is that say you have two coils. one is 6.59 Khz and the other is 15 Khz. they are the same size and form. supposedly the higher the Khz the less depth. but better for gold. the lower the Khz the better for depth and coin shooting. now without trying to sell anything or b.s. around this is this correct? all things here being the same. same ground the only differance being the vlf freq.
