Depth using Audio

jsev

New member
Just checking to see what adjustments I could use to see if I can determine the depth of a coin through audio adjustments rather than just the depth gauge..
Thanks

Jsev

The gain adjustment will allow the volume to vary with depth... If I internet Andy's book correctly.

that is correct the gain will do just that. I run mine at about 17 so the deep targets sound softer than the shallow targets.

DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!!! DANGER!! DANGER!!!!!

Don't run the gain low!!

Yes, you will be able to hear the difference from deep to shallow. But you will miss coins on edge and really faint signals......they won't be there at low gain settings!!!!! I used to do this, set at a mid gain to hear the difference. I left targets behind......

But I got a tip from a guy named Bryce :yo:......and deep silver began to appear!!!

Max the gain out boys, you won't be sorry.........
