Depth Tests- Threshold Vs Silent Search Mode, Vs Raising Threshold To Hear It Again In Silent Search To "Boost" Signal.

I've seen this topic kicked around by some including myself in the past. Is the rule of thumb that threshold mode is deeper than Silent Search mode true?

But in particular the real interesting one kicked around is what might happen if you raise the threshold so you can hear it again in Silent Search.

Will that act as some kind of signal or audio boost so you can hear signals a bit deeper than regular threshold mode? Because the speculation is that maybe now the target response is being boosted more than needed to rise above the once silent zone where the threshold sat, producing a response that might otherwise not be picked up by the audio amplifier in normal threshold mode that is now strong enough to sound off at deeper depths?

So I figured I'd do some testing to see how all three of these settings compared to each other depth wise. I thought the results were real interesting, and probably have answered the questions I always had about the possibilities when the topic came up before.

One pause at the start which you can just hit play to bypass, and then it's pretty much just watch the depth markers posted on the screen for the various modes as they go by.
