Depth readings on F75?

I took my recently arrived machine into the backyard and started digging some of the trash signals we have out back. Seems that the depth readings on this machine are off. Nails were reading at 5", but when I dug them up they were only about 3". I don't have any coins in the back yard, but foil targets and other stuff is reading the same 2" off. I know its calibrated on coin size targets, but none of my other machines is this far off on iron targets unless their real small or real big. Is the F75 calibrated to the 11" coil it comes with? I got an F75 a couple of weeks ago for my wife to use and the depth reading on that seems real close and not as far off as this F75.

The fist F75 I had everything read 5" no matter how deep......At first I thought it might be the grass height on top of the dirt..but never figured it out..Got disgusted and got rid of first one... It had other issues along with the depth being off..

My depth is off about 2 inches as well. If it reads 5 its about 3 if it reads 8 its about 6. I may call them and ask about it but I can live with it if that is all that I have problems with. TMAN...

Depth changes as you pinpoint the DD is a bit harder to pinpont with but if you use the detector pro pinpointer as long as you are close that is all that counts. Depth is not an issue with me, just gives me an idea of how deep it may be!

read the same as Zinc and are about 5 or 6 inches deep. So if it reads Zinc at 5 inches I think it's an Indian and dig it only to find out it's a stinkin zinkin one inch down. I have been planning on calling First Texas and ask them what's going on with it/

I have notice the same thing on both coils. It's not that big of a problem but it would be nice if it would pinpoint the depth a little better.
