Depth reading help

Rob (IL)

New member
To you guys that are having good luck with your 10x12 SEF coils I have a question. If you have a measured buried coin, let me know if the depth reading is more accurate with the detector set to 10D2 or 12" coil.

hey Rob, if your using a buried coin yourself, if you get a chance, can u tell us if your getting any more depth with your new coil on that buried coin compared to a similar coil such as d2 or super 12, whatever you might have. ive read anywhere from 0 to 2". and i know it varies with soil differences.

thx.

We hit triple digit heat Thursday and it looks like I won't get to go detecting over the 4th because of the heat. I won't be burying coins for a while. DARN

This year is shaping up to be another hot one in a lot of the country so pack water, make sure your air conditioning is charged and hunt early! (Looks like we'll be drowning here in the Northwest for awhile though....muck dig if you dare.)

yea i dont want you to get hurt in the heat, thats why i said " if your using a buried coin yourself". thought you may have been testing on a coin you had in a garden.

look forward to seeing your results when your able to get out.
