DEPTH////QUESTION

Im looking to get back on land, and do some relic hunting, what is the best detector for this use,I was thinking of the F75 AND MINE LAB S.E PRO witch way should i go
what about the cz3d too,Thanks for any help................what ever i get i hope it goes as deep as my excal 2.........

Nautilus 2Ba. It is easy to use. For deeper targets the 2B. Nothing will hit deeper. JMHO!

I use the Nautilus DMCIIB for depth and then the F75 for iron sites. Nothing gets deeper than the DMC line of detectors around here. Use the 15 inch coil and you're getting minies up to 20 inches. The 75, on the other hand, will work through a house site like no one's business. It's recovery speed (.72 seconds) is second to none.

But there's lots of good units out there ranging in price from a few hundred on over a grand. The IIB and the 75 are on the upper end of that. But I own both. They're worth it.

What brand is it ????how much, where can i see one??/

David at Dixie Metal Detectors (see above blue banner) probably has the F-75 Fisher and the Nautilus DMCIIB can be found at www.southern-treasures.com or maybe Kellyco.com. (Not trying to break rules by mentioning anyone's business. Just trying to be helpful :) ).

What kind of soil do you hunt in? State?

The F 75 with its stock DD coil is tough to beat for depth and hunting trash infested sites. And, it is lighter then most of the other deep seekers and can be swung comfortably all day. I had the cz3d and I like the F 75 much more. Good luck and HH jim tn

I have a Minelab Explorer SE. I like the depth it gets. Any top of the line detector is good. It depends on where and what you are hunting. I have seen guys with cheap detectors beat guys with $2000 detectors because they knew how to use their machines.

White's DFX will give you excellent depth and with more than 40 adjustable settings, you can control the way it handles difficult ground conditions, EMI, trash etc. I have found dimes at more than 10 inches, and tiny buttons at more than 7.

If you are considering the SE then you would want to research the Etrac as well. It has a faster recovery speed, but you will still need a small coil to work iron heavy sites. No amount of speed will get you through a carpet of nails, with few openings in the iron larger than the coil. I have an Etrac, but do not have a small coil for it yet. I worked a demo'd house meticulously with the ET (more than 15 hours)...took my Golden micromax with a small coil back over it and pulled lots of missed targets. Confirmed to me my need for a small coil for the ET. It's on my Christmas list! Dman's response is very wise. Whatever machine you swing, know THAT machine.
