After listening to every ones advice on how to improve depth I finally got a clear signal from the Quarter (on edge) and penny (not on edge) I buried at 12"....(I'm in portland and the ground is super wet right now)...I had to go to sens 31 (manual) with deep response and gain at 8...
I love this Explorer...all I need now is to find a place with good silver (already found my Mom's class ring and a 1952 Mexican coin) and how to hunt beaches and I'm set...
