Depth on CW bullets in prospect mode for X70?

My former relic hunting partner used an Xterra 70 for relic hunting and claimed a couple times to have found a Civil War bullet at 10" using prospecting mode. For those familiar with the Xterra 70, is that possible in moderate ground?

I dug a 69 caliber round ball, which is a big round ball, at a little over 12 inches in prospecting mode. I couldn't hear it in the coin mode, but the prospecting mode gave a pretty good signal. An MXT and a F75 got no response.

I nice sandy soils with 10.5 7..5 Freq. coil I dug bullets and buttons over 12 inches deep. You can gain more depth in hunting in all/ Metal mode, tten any of pattern modes, and adjust sen. as high as possible. I run my most in 26-28 range. In really bad soil the prospect mode will go deeper, But have hunt slow and the 5X10 Eliical is rock stable. Chuck Acton

Seance January I have recovered 26 Civil War bullets from from the Cloyd Mt Battle field. This battlefield is located in the highly mineralized soil of Southwest Virginia. There are 8 Confederate two ringers, 7 .58 Cal Federal three ringers and 11 fired bullets one of which is a .69 cal. All but two of these bullets were dug using the Coin and Treasure mode at 7" to 10". The .69 cal bullet and the round grape shop was recovered using the Prospecting mode, again in the 7" to 10" range. I was using the 10.5 DD 7.5KHz coil. My point is I find more bullets in the Coin and Treasure mode than I do in the Prospecting mode.

Should have added that I usually hunt in the all metal mode.
