Depth On 3x18 coil for the Umax Machines ?

Thinking on getting a couple would like to know the depth that most are getting with these and are they really worth the money to spend on them Thanks

Used a clean sweep on a silver UMax, and sold it. C/ S coil depth was down 1/ 4 to 1 /3 that of the stock coil..When I did a coil comparison with the stock coil, in a marked off area, there was more stuff left than I found with the clean sweep. One comment, you should get others. Your money..

Not a coil to choose for depth. 4 to 5 inches max. On the other hand, covers a lot of ground quickly in sport fields etc. - if that's a good use for you, go for it.

You have to run your discrimination at just above iron, put your sensitivity into the red, and you will get 3.5" to 4" on dimes and 5 to 5.5" on quarters.

The cleansweep coil is designed to provide maximum coverage for modern sites. You are there for the top 4" of goodies. If you want cover about the same ground at double the depth or more, get a 15" x 12" SEF butterfly coil - they are nasty on pinpointing and will stress your shoulder more than a cleansweep, but there isn't much of a compromise.

Every gold ring that I found would have been in the depth range of the Clean Sweep coil. I'm trying my very best to get one for my Golden

Thanks That is about how I had it figured just wanted to ask a few experts Thanks agin:detecting:

I used one on an old beat up golden umax, and it got about 3" deep on dime and 14" linearcoverag but it is for the surface things anyhow like events ects, soccerfeilds, and in tot lots its a real wonder I just walk with it now on a good working machine crank the gain it will get 3.5 to 4"

The clean sweep is good, as long as the grass has been eaten by sheep, or has not come up..Once it gets tall....That's all. If you can't get your coil down, you are swinging air..I have one spot you can see the grass growing....With a bit of luck, I'll beat the grass this year.. Right where they set up chairs for the soccer games...Got two rings there with 4 to5 inch grass...I may go back and mark the ground before it thaws
