Depth of the 250 vs. Top of the Line units

I have had just about all of the big $$$ machines made by the four main manufacurers and the best average depth I got was about 6" to 7" on a penny/dime size target and up to 10" on a quarter/half size target (rarely anything past 7"). What kind of depths are you ACE 250 guys/gals getting in average soil conditions...

Bout the same as you get on the big $$$ machines.

You wonder why anyone (including myself) would have bought higher-end machines if the 250 is as good? I might have saved $300 if I had known! Oh well.

The 250 is a great little machine and I love using it, but, I still like the features of my higher end Garretts. The more info I can get the better!!

If you question is: Are there some deeper decetors ?
The answer can be yes.
Depending on ground conditions detectors with a manual or automatic GB CAN be deeper.
Detectors like the MXT, Vaquero,Explorer and other can be deeper.
But for that 199$ price it is hard to beat.

it will get down like 18" on a nickle. However all PI units are not good iron discriminators. It can be used on dry land and in the water. Will work well in high mineralized soil. Has a high price tag. I want one real bad but don't have the money for one.
