depth of Infinium small coils

Has anyone ever tried the 3x7 verse the 5x10 coil on the Garrett Infinium ? Are they both sensitive to great depths due to the fact it is a PI machine ? what coil would you recommend for use with the Infinite ?

You'll have to post this on the Infinium Classroom.
Just scroll down way past Whites and you'll see the Garret Infinum Classroom.

The 10x5"DD have excellent depth and normal Infinium LS sensitivity when set up for max depth and used with optimum sweep speed.
7x3"DD coil is smaller and so is used where the larger coil do not fit.

For me the area about to be searched will dictate which coil to use.

If it's a good sized nugget, that small coil will pick it up quite deep. If the nugget is small you won't pick it up with a PI anyway. My favorite and the one that I do most of my nugget hunting with is the 5"x10" DD search coil. Lightweight and great depth. Also, it doesn't snag on branches and brush like the open coil designs do. At the beach I like to use that 10"x14" monocoil. On the creek bed and river banks I'll break out the stock 10"x14" DD. I have(and use)every search coil that's made for the Infinium and just like ivanll says, the type of search coil that you use depends on wher you're huntin'.
Happy Hunting!:)
