depth of F2

is there anything i should do to make sure i am getting the maximum depth out of my f2?
what is the maximum depth? i am new to metal detecting but i have purchased an F2
 
All in all in my neck of the woods find it to be a 5-6 inch unit and your area may differ..To get Max. depth run Sens. as high as you can while having a stable unit and usually low discrimination also helps. For the bucks certainly a nice little unit with a 5year warranty if bought new...

it will be fine, i had the f-4 and i ran good, I'm on the Wis. Mi. border and have some fair mineralization here.
