Depth of an M6 as compared to my xl pro??

I'm just curious as to what the depth comparison is between these two machines. I do not want to get rid of my xl pro but might want to add another machine because I like the idea of the tone ID on the M6. My xl pro will hit a 7" + silver dime in my test garden but I have never used an M6?

Bryce, I have had two XL Pros and one M-6. In my opinion, the M-6 is slightly deeper, but not by much. The deepest silver coin I found with the XL was about 7 inches and maybe an inch deeper with the M-6. Some might call this a wash and maybe so. I did seem to find coins slightly deeper with the M-6. What I found with the M-6 is I consistantly found nickles at 6 plus inches which is something I never did with any of my XL Pros. Tone ID is nice, but I would not give up that super smooth audio and super accurate meter for the M-6. If you do buy a M-6, hold on to the XL Pro until you see if you like it. If I was a rich man, I would have 4 detectors, an Explorer, a CZ 70, a Tejon, and a XL Pro. I have a CZ 70 and a Coinstrike(love hate relationship with the C$) R.L.

right now. The Minelab SE...a CZ70pro....and the XLpro...so I figured I might consider adding one more. I feel exactly the same as you do about the xl pro...and I'm definately not getting rid of it. It and my cz70pro will always be at my side. The xl pro is the smoothest id'ing machine I've ever used. One more question...does anyone know if the mxt is any deeper than the xlpro or the m6?

stock 950 coils or the better coil (in my opinion), the 6

I'm pretty well set having the SE...xlpro...and cz70pro. I was just curious as to whether I needed to pick up and mxt or m6 as well . The more I think about it though...with the 3 killer machines I have...if I leave many coins in the ground I should be ashamed of myself!
