i was going through some boxes and found my depth master superphone headphones. i had forgotten i even had them, and plugging them into my silver umax reminded me why i liked them so well. i bought these back in the day and used them on my 1260 fisher....these headphones were great on that machine! i dug many deep coins that i know the 1260 would have missed without them. just wondering if these are still made today and if anyone is still using them. i'm going to radio shack tomorrow for a new battery for them and gonna put them back into use again. i also remember having the depthmaster box that velcroed onto the detector and it worked great too. i'm thinking these headphones were like 120.00 back several years ago. i'm going to do some testing with my silver umax and see how they compare to my audiophones i now use. these have to be the most comfortable headphones i ever used also. anyone still using these today and whats your opinion of them? thanks .......roger
Just a quick cursory search on Google and I got some responses on metaldetector.com and ebay etc. The current 2100 model is still made at $139.00. Searching further might lead to different models and prices available. For whatever it's worth.
I have a pair of those and I agree that they are the most comfortable I've tried. I bought them for my Tesoro's. Mine has the replaceable cord. I now use them on my Minelab Safari, and they are even better because they make the detector sounds more distinct. I did some some checking at Detector Electronics Corp which is known as Metaldetector.com and they said that they don't make them anymore. These guys are great to do business with. The only problem I have had with the headphones was that the cord's inner wires would break. I have repaired them and have changed them from stereo to mono to work on my Minelab.
