Depth Descrimination?

Brett

New member
Is there any way to change the audio so that I can clearly hear the difference between a deep target and a shallow one, or not hear a shallow one at all? This would be awexome.

Hi Brett,

I'm sure the Vision has a modulated audio setting - the deeper the target, the faiter it sounds. Just dig the soft mellow ones. It would be fun to have a 'ignore if less than X inches" setting. Many would tell you why you would not want that but it seems to me the whole point of a machine like the Vision is to have any setting you want. Your option whether to use it or not. But I'm doubting it is there.

I know, it might not be wise to dig only deep targets... but when you know your environment, it does sometimes make sense. I also wouldn't want to strain my ears to try and dig those faint tones when I'm constantly bombarded with loud surface tones.... I'm talking mostly trashy parks and picnic areas.
