Had a nice little clad hunt yesterday. Going over a sideline that leads from parking lot to couple of bleachers. H.S. practice field.
I'd guess just a over burden of 6-7" to hard fill. Standard DD coil. 25 coins, only two surface, shallow ones. So that being said.
You would think after hunting this trail twice last fall, shouldn't be much there. Wrong. Well because of maybe, slower hunting speed, or maybe my overhauled Pro. I started digging some signals reading a little different. So I got a clad quarter moving around in the low nineties, only about 4". Nice sound. Got another deep signal, nice clean sound, 96. Couldn't find it with my screwdriver. After couple of tries, found it flat on the bottom of a 7" hole. Couple of things here, quarter laying flat, but right on top of another one.
Skin tight. That should account for the 96 vdi. Didn't count but found a bigger average of coins on edge. Namely the nickels for some reason. 6Nickels most found down between 5-6" on edge. These were iffy signals at best. Only $3.25, but one of my more satisfying hunts this year. So maybe in the fall, I'll take the Infinium in there and pick it apart.
