depth and nulling problems

Can anyone tell me why in 2 seperate test gardens a 98 dollar bounty hunter 101 can detect deeper in disc mode than my explorer xs. 1918 half 8 in 45 quarter 7 in merc dime 5 in dime and penny 4 in depth of coins, 1 acid soil, other garden loam. coins buried for 5 months several assorted junk targets buried within 2 to 4 in from coin. Because of nulling explorer would not pick up these targets even with iron mask nearly off could not get signal, but bounty hunter 101 picked all targets although very faint on the 8 inch stuff. I have read this forum for 6 months tried all the cures have five hundred hours in the field and feel I know how to use it well, tons of shallow clad 2 or 3 inches. Have old spots to detect that should be full of old stuff, never detected to lifelong owners knowledge. Is minelab all hype with there depth adds, feels like a grand for a screw with no lube.

Well I cannot speak as to what may be causing your lack of depth, I can tell you that the Explorer is NOT hype.
I went out this morning to an older school in my area, one that has been pounded for years. Although I pulled no silver, I dug wheaties until I couldn't dig anymore. My previous detector was also a Bounty Hunter (Sharpshooter), and I had gone over this specific area no less than 1/2 dozen times. The Explorer is what made the difference. Most of the wheats dug averaged 6-8", but I dug 3 from one hole at 12.5"! This machine gets depth unlike any that I have used before, and the coins sound like they are laying on top of the ground!

When a fool is using the detector, it will not operate properly.
