Depth and Bad ground!

JHM

Member
I'm looking for a best detector i can find to use in bad ground. Depth is my main concern. I plan to relic hunt in open fields. Any suggestions?

Whites DFX, Troy Shadow X5 at work in bad ground and they work very well. They say the Fisher F75 will work too. Good Luck

Multi-frequency (Minelab) runs very deep in high mineral ground, but not in plowed fields (you would run AM or IM). Pulse Induction (PI) goes deeper than most of us would want to dig, but has no Disc. Troy X5's (no longer in production), Tesoro Tejon, or Teknetics T2 would be options. Some of the Fisher's are good but light on iron rejection. GH, David
