Depth accuracy

Sorry I don't have one. The depth meter is really a signal strength meter. The bigger coil, you would think, should give you a stronger reading so I would think it would be off. I know this is why my smaller coils read deeper than what really is the true depth. It all depends how much the received signal varies from the 9.5 coil signal.

Also unless the targets you are hunting are coin sized the depth is going to be wrong with any coil. Rob
 
Depending on the coil used, TID accuracy can vary a fair bit. I always wonder when the depth accuracy question comes up, if the writer bases their decision whether to dig a promising signal depending on the depth? I dig all likely targets regardless of depth indications, accurate or not. JMHO
