Demolition Site

Last weekend I took some shots of a demolition site...

Great pictures Vito. When I see an older building being torn down, I always wonder what all has gone on in there. Lots of stories I'm sure were told. Thanks for sharing!
 
Yes, Nancy, if these stones had a mouth Think they would tell you some great stories.

The site is may be 10 mins walking away from my home, Kelley.

This was a complex of 3 buildings, Detector Man. The demolition company wasn't only tearing the buildings. Right from the start they separated all the different materials.
A few years ago the company had torn down another complex by doing this way and had very good experience with this.
Most of the material was used into the new buildings and the dispose of the rest was much cheaper as it was "clean" construction material.
To bad the google earth picture was done when the demolition was in progress.

The lone standing building is amazing. It's so strange looking to see it that way. Your pictures are fantastic Vito.
