Try the senior citizens park. The younger ones over at the skate board area. Really the Best thing to do is lay one down & test it. Try different ones.

Canadian coins read all over the place depending on what year they were made, so I can't really give a good answer for US nickels.

If you hit a 50-52 VDI it will be a nickel approx. 9 out of 10 times. Watch for the 52 especially.

I have hit a lot of nickels at 50, 51 and 52. I like hitting them , you may get a gift now and then. My 3rd gold ring , rang up at a 50 . GL , HH GS

50 to 52 along with tab tales and the square tab. Nickels have a little larger feel to them, though, and deeper nickels will have a little more bounce to them. HH jim tn

Deep nickels will ring, 50, 51, 52, 53 and sometimes bounce to 68.
