Delta Weight

Been swinging the Delta for a while now........always carry my spare(Garrett 300).....grabbed the Garrett to do a quick scan of an area before leaving just to see if there was any promise of a future hunt....couldn't believe the difference in weight. The Garrett seemed like swinging a brick. I guess its what you get used to but it's sure a lot easier swinging a light weight detector.

I've been swinging the Delta for under an hour.. literally. Just came UPS today from Jim Crain at Golden Road Metal Detectors. It's my first detector since I had a 1260-X back in 1982. I'm very impressed with how light it is. I'll give it a longer test drive tomorrow, but so far I am very happy with it and will be posting my impressions as we get further along. I'm a rookie, but have learned so much just reading the postings from other Teknetics forum members.. Thanks, Mick Twin (Rob Mickatavage) Port Chester, NY

get a little carried away and sometimes sweep too quickly for the ground environment and the detector's ability to hit and respond to a target. Depending upon the site and unit settings, the Gamma & Omega work similar, but a bit different from the G2 or Delta or T2. often similar, but there are subtle differences in the way they process signals.

My oldest son has been using a White's IDX Pro w/6

Monte, you mentioned in another post that the Delta's with the push on coil connectors were B models and not modern detectors.....Is there any difference in the performance of the two?
