Delta Series Coils and the Tejon

For the moment I now own two Tejon's as this worked out I have double sets of coils for the most part and now I have a set of the Lobo Super Trac coils, these being the 5" X 10" Widescan and the little 4" X 7" elliptical that as I understand it is a concentric coil.

The reason for this post is to help me to figured out the main differences in the Lobo coils much more elliptical design vs the Tejon's standard coils like the 8" X 9" and the 5.75" concentric coil and what the different effects are good or bad using them on the Tejon.

I just got the littlest one yesterday, with the cable coming off the front of the coil I call it the "Rhino" coil. I've only air tested it and ran it a bit in my own front yard, so far so good.

I have a the 5 x 10 inch coil and it works great on my Tejon, Vaquero and Cibola. I prefer it over the 5.75 inch DD coil.

I've noticed in some of your recent hunt photos your using the NEL Sharpshooter, how does that compare in your view to the two Lobo ellipticals?

How would you think the little "Rhino" coil would compare in the trash to the 5.75" concentric?

I mean I do have my ideas for the two Lobo coils, but I'm wanting to get some feedback from other forum members as to where they might excel.

Mark the Tesoro 5 x 10 inch DD coil and the NEL Sharpshooter coil are pretty much the same in performance. The Sharpshooter coil might be a tad deeper, it's really hard to tell. Two coils is not a large enough sampling to be definitive, because one coil could be out of tune. The 5 x 10 does glides better over grass and comes with a lifetime warranty. For those users who have detectors without a ground balance definitely should go with the 5 x 10, because I doubt Tesoro will be willing to tune/calibrate other manufacturer's coils to Tesoro detectors if service is ever needed. On the other hand, the Sharpshooter coil does look really cool.:) In my opinion, if you're detecting areas that are not super trashy, any coil smaller than the Sharpshooter or 5 x 10 inch coil is a little bit of overkill.
