Delta Saturday Night Special

New member
Well today is day 2 with my new Delta...I took her down to the river today to try and find some nuggets.
Found lots of iron trash and lots of ghost signals, but just as i was about to call it a day the detector went ape shit.
I ended up digging up a Sundance Industries model A-25 .25 auto pistol...its missing the clip a few other parts and packed with dirt.
I believe it was a satin nickel finish on the gun don't know for sure. brand new in the box its worth maybe 100 bucks...mines worth maybe 10...The weird thing is there is no serial number on it or date when it was made. I can find examples online but they all have dates and serial numbers obviously stamped into them...this one doesn't nor does it look like they where filed off. I'm going to take it to the gun shop see if he can get it firing again for me...willing to spend 100 bucks to get it working again. If not ill just hang it on the wall.
Not too bad for a seconds days work with the delta.

Hope to have a picture for you all soon!

UPDATE!
I cleaned the little bugger inside and out and guess what, it actually works! The previous owner had removed the safety mechanism, but who really needs that? lol...The barrel is a smooth bore so not too much damage from the rust...I'm buying a clip and grips for it soon as i can...this little guy will be nice to carry when detecting alone in the mean streets or out deep in the woods...

Hope its not a murder weapon :-(
That would suck, especially if you had to shoot someone and then ballistics confirmed it was serial killers weapon that the police had been looking for.

Well I found the serial number and ran it on stolengun.com no records where found. The barrel is a smooth bore that was covered in rust that I managed to clean up...no way they could match bullets to it, its that bad..hope fully a .25 cal will still fire correctly out of it. I really don't plan using it, hoping just pulling it out would scare whomever need be away...Id definitely run if someone pulled it on me...

PULLING A GUN ON A PESON WORKING OR NOT WILL GET YOU IN JUST AS MUCH TROUBLE WITH THE AUTHORIYS,ESPECIALLY IF YOUR NOT AUTHORIZED CARRY >BAD IDEA ALL WAY ROUND!!!! nice find though

I have a CC permit, but would rather have the gun and no permit than the permit and no gun under the right circumstances....

After reading one of Monte's post about the caliber of gun this is ( pip squeak )
It probably didn't belong to a serial killer but maybe a serial aggetator / someone that just wants to kill people but cant get the job done.

Just kidding / great find
I found a gun with my Delta also or at least what was left of it

Happy Hunting.... snow is coming down hard here in Terre Haute Indiana
