Delta Disc

I have a new used Delta and took it out today and wondering about the Disc. Is it better to run it low and notch out the stuff or run it higher and only notch out aluminum? I took it to a park today in Colorado and it seem to chatter a hole lot. had to run with the sensitivity at 6 to get it to stay calm. But then I worried that is was missing everything. Is this a good setting. I'm use to running it high on my Tesoro.

Any thoughts or tips on the Delta are greatly appreciated.

if you're talking about running the disc. high you wouldn't need to notch anything out.

As with any detector, the higher the disc the less depth you'll get. So if I run it low and only notch out a couple of things, am I loosing any depth?

The ground balance on the Delta can force you to run at a lower sensitivity in highly mineralized ground. It's still plenty deep, though.

I usually run the discrimination up to zinc pennies, and notch IN nickles. Most gold objects I have tested with this setup will detect.

My experiences, and that of a few others is that the Delta, when hitting on gold, gives a very thready / reedy tone. It's unmistakable to me.
