What benefit would head phones be if you hear well? Will head phones increase your finds with the delta?

What benefit would head phones be if you hear well?

Headphones are not really for those who DON'T hear well, they are good for several reasons. For example:

1.. Headphones can block out many outside sounds, such as traffic, wind, surf, and people, such as kids playing inn the area. that will let the detector operator hear more sounds w/o the ambient noise around them.

2.. While YOU can hear kids and others around you, by wearing headphones you can hold a straight face and pretend that you DON'T hear them. Often, one kid will tell others that you can't hear them when they ask questions because you have on headphones. Thus, if you're lucky, they will soon go away.

3.. If you are wearing headphones, you are not blasting out audio responses which, like a magnet, can draw kids to come investigate, or maybe annoy someone walking their dog, reading a book, bird watching or some other activity. In short, you won't be annoying anyone.

4.. Generally, good headphones will add some to your detector's battery life.

Will head phones increase your finds with the delta?

Possibly, if you're not attracting onlookers who want to complain or ask questions or try to bug you, then you might get more detecting time in w.o distractions.

Also, with a Delta or Omega or T2 or a gold, nugget unit, headphones can extend battery life a little, and they help block out noises or other distractions. You can concentrate on the task at hand, and that is finding stuff.
