After moving across the country and getting settled in I was finally able to get some hunting in, I left a place that I had hunted for 10 years and found over 100 silver or gold rings all on dry land to a place I did not know anyone or even have a job all I knew is it was time to move and decided the east central was where I wanted to be. My wife and I had always said once our boys were grown and gone we would move somewhere east and we chose North Carolina. We lived in South Dakota for the past 13 years and had moved there from New Mexico to raise our sons in a smaller town and a safer place. Now both my boys are grown and are in the US Army I could not be more proud of the men they grew up to be. So the end May my wife and I packed up our belongings and moved away from friends and family to the unknown. I have worked for the same company for over 25 years and have never had trouble finding work I did have a interview set up when we got here and was hired on the spot. Anyway sorry I got off track there but many people know me on this site. The city I moved to does not allow metal detecting unless it is on private land so I have had to go to some neighboring towns do get some hunting in. It was nice to get out and dig after all the upheaval the past month. First few hunts were pretty much find places to hunt and get permission and test the grounds if you will (find out what and where the targets are) I can drive 10 or 15 minutes and be in other towns that do allow detecting. The place I hunted today is a large park with 2 playgrounds, 2 ballfields and 2 soccer fields, I hunted there for a couple hours yesterday and found plenty of clad. Today I focused on what I am familiar with the soccer fields, first few passes produced plenty of clad targets about midway through the second pass on field two the DeLeon hit a solid silver target and after a few pokes with my screwdriver out popped a nice silver ring I am hoping it is the first of many I will be getting a Tesoro Sand Shark soon so I can hunt the beaches when I can sorry for the long post but here's the goods from today's hunt
15 pennies
2 nickels
4 dimes
6 quarters
1 925 silver ring with red stone
