Deleon which small coil would you use 4" or 5.75" or 5" Nel ?

5.75 , it still has good separation , still is light and still has decent depth . I have no experience with the 5" Nel . I have used the 4" and 5.75 on different Tesoro's though .

There's only one right choice for the Deleon, the 5.75 coil. The coil may need to be tuned and calibrated to your Deleon for it to work properly.

If that's the case, you're up the creek with no paddle if you get the NEL coil, because I'm pretty certain that Tesoro won't work on other manufacturer's products

Besides, the 5.75 comes with a lifetime warranty and works great!

Hi Frank,

My wife bought a new Deleon 2 years ago, she is small in stature and the 9X8" stock coil was too weighty for her, so I put my 5.75 concentric coil on it. It was a good combo as far as being well balanced and deep enough for her. In my mild Kansas soil the coil swap was OK as far as being ground balanced correctly and it worked perfect. She has been working out at the gym for the last year, so I mounted the Troy Super Seven coil on her detector and that thing is the "bomb" on the Deleon, not much weight difference and a lot deeper. It too had a usable ground balance range. When I use the Deleon, I like to use the 8" brown concentric coil as it is my favorite coil on any Tesoro and it too had no problems with ground balance, so it worked fine with the three different coil swaps. I never have tried the NEL coils, doubtful that I will either because the Tesoro concentric coils work so well and I have them in stock:thumbup:

Out of the 3 i would either go for the 5.75 or NEL coil, the 4'' unless you plan to use it for a specific use could be seen as being too small,i do have a 4'' coil but only use it for river detecting in ford crossings as we have 2 that was at one time the main route into the village for over a 1000 years prior to a bridge being built about 200 years ago.

For sites that have possibly alot of trash then i would go for the 5.75'' coil as that would give you a little more ground coverage as well as great target seperation.

Another vote for the 5.75. Works good on my DeLeon. I have and sometime use the 4", but only in extremely heavy trash or where I need to get into tight places.
