Deleon V Tejon?

Hi guys, long time no see hope you are all well.
Here's my question: I'm currently using the Laser Hawkeye (european version of the Deleon). It has factory preset GB, and I've found some great finds with it, even though I've had it less than a year.
The only thing I can fault with it is that the proccessor is a bit slow to decide what the target is, you have to sweep over the target 3 or 4 times before the meter settles down (not a prob though)
the only thing that bugs me is that some targets show up on the meter as a big fat 0 (iron) but the audio sounds good. I dig these ones, and often it IS a none ferrous target! now I KNOW no target i.d. machine is 100% accurate, but this concerns me! so I'm toying with the idea of going back to a non metered machine and learning to trust my ears again!
The Tejon is getting good reviews here in the UK, and it retails at the same price as the Hawkeye. I like the idea of it having two discrim pots too. I've never used a manual ground balance machine before, any tips? will the Tejon be deeper and better? have any of you guys had experience with both these machines, how do they compare? I have a Roman site that has a big mineralisation problem with all the tiny iron fragments all over it, will a manual G.B machine be better on such a site?
Hope you can help me out with my questions and help me make the right choice Thanks in advance
charlie.

Hi Charlie . Have you seen the UK spec Tejon it has a fixed Ground Balance and has been set to not pick up as mutch iron as the one's in the USA.I have been told that it has a switch to go from fixed to manual,A bit like the Lasser B1 .
I'm also looking for a new detector to better the one that i use the Lobo Super Traq .
I air tested the Hawkeye with a 8x9" search head against the Lobo st with a 5X10" and i found that the Hawkeye beat the Lobo st on depth with large coins .
Then i air tested the Hawkeye and Lobo st with the same search heads with smaller Roman and Celtic coins
and the Lobo st beat the Hawkeye on depth .
I then put a 8x9" search head on the Lobo st and it gave me more depth on large coins than the Hawkeye and more depth on the small coins than the Lobo st .
My post may not be a lot of good to you on the Tejon as i have never use'd one .But that could change very soon .
The problems that i have found with getting a new or more expensive detector is that they seem to find more iron than the cheaper detectors.
All the best Les

Thanks for your imput Les Think I'll hold fire on the Tejon until I hear from some 'Hands-on' users of it here in the UK. I saw the advert in the detecting press for the Tejon UK model, looks good to me, and it only costs
